Today I baked Black Walnut Cookies for a dear old friend who has inspired me with her nuggets of wisdom and encouragement for years. BUT she lives in another state, soooo...my plan is to deliver them to my neighbor who I read on Facebook is just not having a great go of it this week. I have no idea what is wrong, but I figured just knowing that somebody cared (and came with a little sugar therapy) might just give her a little boost today. So tell me, what did you bake or how did you do something nice for somebody today? Pictures and recipes are totally encouraged :-D

So impressed with your baking and most of all, your idea. The practice of being nice/thoughtful in times of our own challenges and difficulties is secret treasure we can hide in our hearts.
Because of your challenge.. I wrote a hand-written note to one of my favorite authors. Never done that before! Having written something in the past myself, I know that every time a note came to me, it was always perfect in its timing. So, I am trusting that my short note will arrive at the best time.
Amazing how the smallest things can mean so much.
Today I plan to go the grocery store.
I will grab an extra carton of a favorite fun ice cream, find a line with a mom with kids at the end and get behind them. Just when they are about to check out, I'll give them a carton, asking the cashier to ring up two when I check out. This will, of course, shock the cashier and she'll give me a stunned but happy 'yes'.
An easy blessing that blesses us all and doesn't cost much at all.
Thanks so much for your creative challenge that makes each morning fun-- something to look forward to. What's Jo going to write today?
